Winton Bursaries to International Students

King Alfred's University College award bursaries to international students who are nationals of a country outside the European Union or British nationals whose residence history makes them liable to pay tuition fees as international students. The bursaries constitute a reduction in tuition fees of £1000/- per annum. The applicants must have a firm offer of a college place.

Bursaries

Bursaries are available to assist students with their tuition fees and will be granted to all who apply and qualify under the following headings.

  1. All international students will be entitled to apply for a bursary but will be eligible for an award under only one heading per year. 1) All international students accepted for the one year full-time Diploma in Management Studies will be granted a bursary of £1150/- 2)
  2. All existing international students progressing to another course programme based at Broxtowe College shall be entitled to a progression bursary

    • To 'A' Levels/GNVQ Advanced/Foundation - On application students shall receive 20%bursary on tuition fees for each year of the course.
    • To HND / Degrees - On application students shall receive 25% bursary on tuition fees for each year of the course.

University of Strathclyde : Financial assistance for International Students

The University of Strathclyde is Scotland's third largest University. It has five faculties (Arts & Social Sciences, Education, Engineering, Science and the Strathclyde Business School).

Up to 50 new postgraduate scholarships worth £2000/- each year will be available for each of the three years commencing 1998-99. Each scholarship will be valid for the full length of a student's course of study. Candidates should be able to demonstrate excellent academic ability and would be liable to pay tuition fees as an overseas student.

John Anderson Awards The university also offers limited number of scholarships specifically for postgraduate research students. It offers maintenance allowance for successful candidates.
